The Role
We are seeking to appoint exceptional, market-leading lawyers at the Partner or Counsel level to join our firm in Saudi Arabia. This is a significant opportunity for ambitious, business-minded practitioners to take on a leadership role with  one of the Kingdom’s prominent law firms during the  period of an unprecedented growth being envisaged by the firm The successful candidates will be responsible for driving business development, leading complex legal mandates, and contributing to the strategic direction of the firm. You will play a pivotal role in strengthening our presence in one of our key office locations — Riyadh, Jeddah, or Dammam. This role is for a strategic thinker and proven business generator with a track record of excellence in  multi-disciplinary practice arenas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Development: Proactively develop and execute a robust business development strategy to originate new client mandates and expand the firm’s market share. Build and maintain a strong network of senior-level client relationships.
  • Client & Matter Management: Lead and manage complex, high-value legal matters across a variety of practice areas. Provide strategic, commercially-focused legal advice to a portfolio of high-profile clients.
  • Leadership & Mentorship: Act as a key leader within the firm, providing mentorship and professional development guidance to junior lawyers and associates. Foster a culture of excellence, collaboration, and high performance.
  • Firm Strategy & Ambassadorship: Contribute to the overall strategic direction of the firm. Act as a senior representative of AlGhazzawi & Partners in the market, enhance the firm’s brand and reputation through visible though leadership. This includes active participation in regional and local events, public speaking, media engagement (broadcast, podcasts), and authoring articles to support the firm’s marketing and business development goals

 Qualifications & Skills
  • Professional Experience: A proven track record at a senior strategic level, with outstanding legal acumen in corporate and commercial matters, leading multi-jurisdictional transactions and disputes, and handling domestic and international legal cases for top-tier clientele.
  • Track Record: A demonstrable and verifiable track record of building a successful practice, generating significant revenues, and leading high-value, complex legal matters.
  • Practice Expertise: Extensive experience in a multi-disciplinary commercial practice is essential. Candidates should possess deep expertise in at least two of the following core areas: Corporate & M&A, Banking & Finance, Fintech, Digital Banking, Online Payment & Open Banking, Litigation & Dispute Resolution, Projects & Infrastructure, Private Public Partnership, Maritime, Contracts, Real Estate & Construction, Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG), Sports & Entertainment Law & Sustainability or Regulatory & Compliance.
  • Language Proficiency: Full professional fluency in both Arabic and English (written and spoken) is mandatory. The role requires the ability to draft, negotiate, and advise in both languages with sophistication and communicate effectively in both languages.
  • Market Knowledge: A deep understanding of the Saudi Arabian legal and regulatory landscape, coupled with strong commercial acumen
  • Eligibility: We welcome applications from both highly qualified Saudi Nationals and expatriate lawyers who meet the specified criteria.

Education, Licensing & Experience
  • A minimum of 15 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) is required, gained at leading international law firm(s), top-tier regional firm(s), or another highly regarded commercial legal practice.
  • A law degree from a recognized university is required; post-graduate qualifications (e.g., LL.M.; J.D.) preferable
  • Must be a qualified/licensed lawyer in a recognized jurisdiction.
  • A demonstrable and verifiable track record of building a successful practice, generating significant revenues, and leading high-value, complex legal matters.
  • Full professional fluency in both Arabic and English (written and spoken) is mandatory.
  • A deep understanding of the Saudi Arabian legal and regulatory landscape, coupled with strong commercial acumen.
